Grading Guide

As a collector for many years, often disappointed by weak grading - especially in Brazil - I’d like to believe I grade conservatively and to a high standard. I believe in honesty as a trait to live by and want people to be happy with the records I provide. Here’s a detailed guide:

M - Either sealed or opened and possibly played once or twice. Media shows no signs of use and plays perfectly. Basically as if it just came out of a shop, has absolutely no noise or interference. I hardly ever use this grade unless sealed/deadstock.

NM - Almost perfect. Media shows almost no signs of use or if light marks under strong sunlight, this is not noticeable during playback. The majority of records in Brazil don’t live up to this grade.

EX/VG++ - Essentially better than VG+ but not quite near mint due to one light visible mark that doesn’t effect playback. A little background noise can be heard every now and again but nothing notable.

VG+ - Can contain light marks, playback contains no noise during most of the record. Light noise can be heard.

VG - Visibly used record with immediately noticeable marks, light to moderate noise can be heard throughout the majority of the record which can interfere with listening. I will rarely sell records at this grade as I don’t pick them up regularly.

G+ - Unless something is very rare, I will never sell records in this condition. Noise interference with playback at a high level and the record will look like it could have been found in a dumpster.
